Infinite Island presents some eighty works made in the last six years that reflect the region's dynamic mix of cultures, its diasporas, and its socio-political realities, all of which are constantly transforming themselves. The forty-five emerging and established artists, who work both in the Caribbean and abroad, represent multiple perspectives as they explore the complexities of Caribbean history and identity. Including painting, sculpture, photography, prints and drawings, video, and installation, the exhibition is grouped around themes that encompass history, memory, politics, myth, religion, and popular culture.

Édition 2005 du National Fine Black Art Show (NFBAS)

NFBAS 2005Cette année encore, la Galerie Bourbon-Lally participera au « National Fine Black Art Show », en présentant, entre autres, des œuvres de Belkis Ayon, Pierrot Barra, Mario Benjamin, Edouard Duval-Carrié, Dionne Simpson, Hawa Kaba, Eric Alugas, Barbara Prézeau et Vladimir Cybil. 3 - 6 février 2005, avec une soirée « Charity Preview » le mercredi 2 février.

Museum of the African Diaspora Community Call For Photographs

Photomosaic - conceptionThe Museum of the African Diaspora announces a  Community Call For Photos. More than 3,000 photographic images are needed for the construction of the exciting and unique mosaic for the Museum of the African Diaspora scheduled to open in 2005.
